Especially after Fashion Week (it’s always before Fashion Week) we question ourselves or more dubitate about the sense of the fashion circus from time to time. No doubt we are fashion lovers and love to study fashion theory. But there always stays the little doubt when discussing what if the designer would have placed the seam five centimeters above the chest would that have made a better look, did you see that little blogger girl with the bow in her head, why the hell did he choose yellow and not green and what did that guy anyway do in the front row? Because in the end we do not save lives. We live fashion.

The new project by Estée Lauder creative director and Instagram art star Donald Drawbertson wraps up our thoughts in a brilliant metaphor by saying ‘Fashion is Nuts’.

We guess there are not many people allowed to picture fashion icons with nut heads and still be loved by the  fashion people. Thank you Mr. Drawbertson.

Let’s talk #Superstars! Rita Ora: singer/ songwriter/ entertainer and designer NOW.

By wearing one of these old Adidas trackies she brought the classic back into fashion. Reason enough for the German sportswear label Adidas to oblige the 24 year old Slasheuse for a design cooperation. Now she introduced her new Capsule Collection named ‘Super Pack’. A little Pop Art comic superhero overdose theme inspiration ‘BANG. PUFF. BOOW!’ which will be available in the shops and online 1st of March 2015.

What Rita wears sells. On the Adidas ORIGINAL youtube channel she philosophizes about the similarities and difficulties of her work, designing and the role as a superstar. But not only seeing herself of being one. She proves that the Superstar Original whatever one does to him will stay a Superstar Original. A clever move when you just put your name on a classic shoe.

Superstar Rita Ora for the Superstar Original what a smart marketing move from Herzogenaurach!

The warm light of an autumn afternoon, laughing faces, a gorgeous pregnant baby bump, close ups of smiles, hugging girlfriends, various patterns of textiles and decorations. It looks like a fall advertising campaign for women’s ready-to-wear somewhere between Odd Molly’s sophisticated Hippie Looks and Tommy Hilfiger’s style of family portraits.

Well, guess what? It’s not. These are pix of Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively’s Babyshower! The 27 year old actress is expecting Ryan Renold’s (Scarlett Johansson’s Ex) child and seems  to be perfectly happy. There will definitely not be a lack of romper suits, Blake!

“Do you want to talk? Do you want to ask my anything?” a celebrity who you have followed in films and magazines for years asks you!

What would your answer be? Sure, I get it that you don’t have an answer ready straight away – because how to choose what the most important question is. But there must me something. We have recently been interviewed for a media conference and one of the questions was: “what would you ask Kate Moss if you meet her to pose one question?” Well, it were most definitely not the deepest questions ever that crossed our minds but Zoe immediately shouted out: “Do you wear underwear?” and I blurted out: “How was it kissing Cara?”
So, I admit the questions that come into our heads when the possibility opens up to ask a star whatever you like might not be world moving questions but at least I would have a bunch of them. The only answer these two girls in Kirsten Dunst’s short film aspirational have, is “can you tag me?”

In an artful and soft way the criticism of our modern society and our usage of social media and the phenomenon of the selfie is presented and leaves you with an uneasy feeling that at the same time calms you down by feeling understood. I often struggle with short films that hold us a mirror of daily trends and criticism up in the face – like do you remember the “look up” video where this guy tells you the story of his life and claims that if he wouldn’t have looked up from his phone and asked someone for directions instead of looking at his google maps, he would have never met the love of his life… well it was not a bad film or anything or that the message didn’t have some alarming truth in it but it didn’t make me feel understood. More the opposite, every time I check for directions on my phone I feel guilty these days but seriously 99% of the people in the streets you ask for directions turn out to not be the love of your life and just tell you some direction which quite often is wrong – just because they don’t know better (most likely because they always follow the directions on their phone).

With this short film it’s different. The message is clear but it leaves me with a good feeling in a way, when I meet Kirsten Dunst or any other celebrity I will make sure to ask them a bunch of questions or at least discuss this film with them when I ask them to tag me!
